Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Nurse Lead for an Emergency Department supervisor role requiring CA RN licensure, ACLS, and PALS certifications on night shift.

• EPIC experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification required
• AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education/experience required
• Master's Degree preferred
• Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills required
• Five years' technical experience preferred
• Minimum three years of specialty experience for ER required
• Recent experience within the last three months in the specialty required
• No prior negative licensure actions permitted
• Employment history must note EPIC or Cerner experience
• Two supervisor references required, one from the past year and one from the past two years
• Skills checklist for the specialty completed within the past year required

Additional Information

• Provide unit-based leadership working collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff
• Supervise and direct various levels of nursing and ancillary personnel
• Ensure patients receive cost-effective, professional care resulting in positive outcomes and high satisfaction
• Assess and improve quality of patient experience and safety
• Initiate and coordinate care conferences with health team members, patients, and families
• Direct and monitor personnel performance to ensure quality patient care
• Participate in patient care as needed
• Foster a patient and family-centered care environment with attention to cultural diversity
• Make rounds to assess patient care needs and introduce self to patients and families
• Solicit feedback on quality of nursing services and address concerns
• Develop strategies with Nurse Manager/Director to improve patient, family, and physician satisfaction
• Investigate and resolve patient care and operational issues
