Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with Cath Lab, IR, and EP experience for a hospital position requiring an MD or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Interventional Radiology setting
• Average daily census of 15-20 patients across 4 rooms
• Day/evening shifts, 3x12 hours (7am-7pm or 9am-9pm)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No holiday coverage required
• Floating required to Cath Lab, EP, and IR units
• Uses MacLab, Cerner, HI IQ, Phillips Image, ACIST-IVUS, RAD-NET, DMS, INVISION, Xcelra, and MUSE systems
• Precepting responsibilities required

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab, IR, and EP Lab experience required
• 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment
• References must support at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in procedures including cardiac catheterization, PCI, EP studies, cardiac ablation, pacemaker/AICD insertion, and vascular closure
• Experience with procedural sedation monitoring and administration of cardiac medications

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, EP, and IR procedures
• Assist with cardiac mapping, arrhythmia induction, and pacemaker/AICD insertion and programming
• Scrubs provided
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
• Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are not eligible; prior travel assignment experience required
