Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab/EP RN with Cath Lab, IR, and EP experience for a hospital position requiring an MD or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Interventional Radiology setting
- Average daily census of 15-20 patients across 4 rooms
- Day/evening shifts, 3x12 hours (7am-7pm or 9am-9pm)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- No holiday coverage required
- Floating required to Cath Lab, EP, and IR units
- Uses MacLab, Cerner, HI IQ, Phillips Image, ACIST-IVUS, RAD-NET, DMS, INVISION, Xcelra, and MUSE systems
- Precepting responsibilities required
Requirements
- Active RN license (MD or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab, IR, and EP Lab experience required
- 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years required
- Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
- Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment
- References must support at least 2 years of experience within the previous 3 years
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Skilled in procedures including cardiac catheterization, PCI, EP studies, cardiac ablation, pacemaker/AICD insertion, and vascular closure
- Experience with procedural sedation monitoring and administration of cardiac medications
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, EP, and IR procedures
- Assist with cardiac mapping, arrhythmia induction, and pacemaker/AICD insertion and programming
- Scrubs provided
- No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
- Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
- Previous MedStar employees must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers are not eligible; prior travel assignment experience required
