Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a high-level Progressive Care Unit position requiring 2+ years of cardiac telemetry experience and NC or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in a high-level, high-functioning PCU with multiple long-term patients
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Weekend rotation required
- Holiday rotation required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required between all Cone Health campuses as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardiac telemetry experience required
- Experience with peripheral line care/management and PICC line management required
- Experience titrating drips required
- Experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
- Must pass a pass/fail compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
- Current driver's license required to verify address for radius eligibility
Additional Information
- Provide care for cardiac telemetry and PCU/stepdown patients, including dysrhythmia monitoring and management
- Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips as part of daily responsibilities
- Perform peripheral and PICC line care and management
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO must be submitted with the initial application; post-submission RTO requests are not accepted
- Compliance modules are completed during orientation and are unit-based, non-billable, and average 2-4 hours
