Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring current IMC experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Details

• Staffing pool role providing flexible nursing coverage across all inpatient units, including support for inpatients held in the Emergency Department
• Patient care includes tele monitoring, IV/PICC line care, IV insertion, tube care, and port management
• 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, totaling 48 hours weekly
• Variable shift schedule with day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) options
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May be placed on standby (SB1) status per pay period if census drops

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS, CPI-A, and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of current IMC (Intermediate Care) experience required, with willingness to accept IMC patients
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• PCU/IMC skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver competent clinical nursing care in coordination with the interdisciplinary team, following the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Report to the Nurse Manager/Director and participate in care planning, discharge planning, and patient/family education
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing and utilize hospital nursing standards, policies, and procedures
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and promote cost-effective, safe patient care
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and effective communication across disciplines
