Description
American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN with recent post-anesthesia experience and Cerner proficiency for a 12-hour shift position.
Details
- Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on the ground floor
- Unit operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Patient population includes Thoracic, Orthopedic, Neurology, Vascular, Urology, and General surgery cases
- Higher acuity cases are managed on this unit
- Unit is overseen by a Charge Nurse and Supervisor
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM
- On-call coverage is required for holidays
- Uses Cerner EMR system
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Provide post-anesthesia nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties
- Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break in service
- RTO must be requested upfront and cannot be requested after an offer is made
