Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with recent specialty experience, AHA certifications, and NIHSS certification for a 12-hour day shift assignment.
Details
- Work in a PACU unit that operates 24/7
- Unit handles higher acuity post-anesthesia cases across Thoracic, Orthopedic, Neurology, Vascular, Urology, and General Surgery specialties
- Overseen by a Charge Nurse and Supervisor
- 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
- On-call coverage required for holidays
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA or compact) required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience required
- Cerner EMR experience required
Additional Information
- Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for a variety of surgical patient populations
- Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted
- Returning staff who previously worked permanently at the facility must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront prior to accepting an offer
