Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a TX or compact license, BLS/ACLS certification, and at least 1 year of cath lab experience.

Details

Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab work settings
Day shift, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday
On-call responsibilities required
Epic EMR experience required for consideration

Requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience required
Proficiency in End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, ACT, cardioversion, circulate procedures, infection prevention, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, isolation precautions/PPE, procedural sedation monitoring, 12-lead EKG/ECG, RASS, sheath removal/monitoring, and vascular closure systems
Experience with vascular studies/procedures and cardiac cath lab procedures including stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP and Impella placement, left/right heart catheterization, and PCI
Preferred experience with angioplasty, carotid stenting, upper/lower extremity angiography, rotablator atherectomy, TAVR, pulmonary angiography, and pulmonary embolization
Knowledge of cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation agents, reversal agents, and thrombolytics
State-issued ID required for consideration
SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
Circulate procedures and monitor patients during cath lab interventions
RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request approved during Nov-Jan
Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower bill rate
Military certifications accepted; AHA certification preferred; ARC certification not accepted
