Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a TX or compact license, BLS/ACLS certification, and at least 1 year of cath lab experience.
Details
- Cath Lab unit within a hospital setting
- Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab work settings
- Day shift, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday
- On-call responsibilities required
- Epic EMR experience required for consideration
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience required
- Proficiency in End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, ACT, cardioversion, circulate procedures, infection prevention, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, isolation precautions/PPE, procedural sedation monitoring, 12-lead EKG/ECG, RASS, sheath removal/monitoring, and vascular closure systems
- Experience with vascular studies/procedures and cardiac cath lab procedures including stent placement, diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, IABP and Impella placement, left/right heart catheterization, and PCI
- Preferred experience with angioplasty, carotid stenting, upper/lower extremity angiography, rotablator atherectomy, TAVR, pulmonary angiography, and pulmonary embolization
- Knowledge of cardiac medications including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation agents, reversal agents, and thrombolytics
- State-issued ID required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
- Circulate procedures and monitor patients during cath lab interventions
- RTO limited to 5 non-consecutive days, with only one holiday RTO request approved during Nov-Jan
- Candidates residing within 90 miles are considered local and accepted at a lower bill rate
- Military certifications accepted; AHA certification preferred; ARC certification not accepted
