Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER Clinical Nurse for a night shift position requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and at least three years of emergency department experience.

Details

  • Emergency Department setting within a JCAHO-accredited regional referral hospital
  • Serves a large geographic area with comprehensive inpatient and outpatient emergency services
  • Cares for patients of all ages and their families
  • Night shift schedule from 1830-0700, three shifts per week
  • 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

  • Active RN license (AZ or compact) currently in hand
  • Minimum of 3 years of ER nursing experience required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC
  • NRP certification required within 1 year of hire
  • NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire
  • Emergency Severity Index Level 5 certification required within 3 months of hire
  • Patient Sitter Competency Training required upon hire

Additional Information

  • Perform a variety of nursing care procedures requiring independent clinical judgment based on physician orders and hospital policies
  • Orientation occurs every 2 weeks
  • COVID and flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted with a submitted declination form
  • Limited shared housing units available at $600 per month based on availability, with no family or pets permitted
  • Housing application must be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to start date
  • Fingerprinting must be completed prior to start, processed via mail during the compliance process
  • Facility is located in a remote, rural area on the Navajo and Hopi Reservations
