Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of experience for a cardiac interventional radiology setting featuring structural heart procedures.
Details
- Cardiac interventional radiology room with structural heart capabilities
- 3 procedure rooms with an average daily census of 15
- Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 5x8 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM)
- Call required, 3 call shifts per two-week period
- Weekend call rotation required approximately every 6 weeks
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience required
- California CLS license required and must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
- CA CRRT state license required
- ACLS, ARRT-R, BLS, and Fluoroscopy Permit required
- CCI RCIS certification preferred
- Compact license must be in hand at submission
- Experience with venous access, central line care, and vascular closure systems
- Skilled in procedural responsibilities including sterile field maintenance, equipment setup, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including PCI, PTCA, and pacemaker insertion
- Experience with TAVR and Watchman procedures preferred
- Carotid angiography and stenting experience preferred
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, structural heart interventions, and related vascular studies
- Responsibilities include hemodynamic monitoring, IABP and Impella placement/removal, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Scrubs provided
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Only 1 submission allowed system-wide within Providence facilities at a time
- Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities
- RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
