Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 6+ months of hospital OT experience and active KS licensure.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting within the Occupational Therapy department
  • Daily census of approximately 250 active consults
  • 2:1 OTR to COTA staffing ratio
  • Typical caseload of 8-10 patients assigned per OTR per day
  • General acute care DME equipment used
  • Meditech EMR system used
  • Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Active Occupational Therapist license required (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 6 months of hospital OT experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of overall experience preferred
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Trauma experience preferred
  • Comprehensive stroke experience preferred
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • One professional reference required
  • No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Perform OT evaluations and treatments in a complex acute care environment with a wide variety of diagnosis groups
  • Work independently with high accountability and minimal oversight
  • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills required
  • Flexibility needed given the fast-paced nature of acute care practice
  • Large, collaborative therapy team with flexible scheduling options
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
