Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 26-week night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of critical care experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
Details
- Work in the ICU of a short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 26-week assignment length
- Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Weekend requirement of at least every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- May float to other units or nearby sister facilities based on skill set and staffing needs
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
Requirements
- Active RN license, compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS; CCRN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing across respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, renal, and GI patient populations
- Manage ventilated patients, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and monitor hemodynamic status
- Experience with arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration preferred
- Scrub color requirement: any color accepted
- No parking fee at the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate; must reside within 50 miles for local rate eligibility
- Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; minimal RTO is preferred to avoid delays
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
