Description
American Traveler is seeking an ICU RN for a fast-paced short-term acute care hospital, requiring an active Oregon RN license, at least 2 years of ICU experience, and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certification.
Details
- Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a short-term acute care hospital with 418 staffed beds
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM)
- Weekend work required at least every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating between units and sister facilities may be required based on skill set
- Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
Requirements
- Active Oregon RN license (compact accepted) required, in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; CCRN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing across renal, respiratory, neurological, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal systems
- Manage ventilated patients, arterial and central lines, blood product administration, and vasoactive/sedation drips
- Monitor for and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Minimal RTO accommodated; all time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
- Former Providence facility employees may reapply as travelers after a 3-month break if living more than 50 miles from the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrub color requirement: any color accepted
