Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring ARRT (R) certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology department within a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
  • Daily caseload includes coverage of 4 Angio suites and 2 ORs
  • 4x10 hour day shifts with variable start times between 0700-1900, including occasional 1100 starts
  • Schedule includes variable weekdays and weekends, posted in advance on the 15th of each month
  • On-call requirement of 4-5 call shifts per month
  • Potential to float within scope to meet facility needs
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Uses Philips and Siemens imaging equipment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required
  • ARRT (R) certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • WA Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
  • ACLS and ARRT Advanced certification preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
  • Proficiency in vascular, neuro, cardiac, and body interventional procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, and central venous access
  • Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures such as diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
  • Skills in equipment setup, access site prep, room circulation, and sterile field maintenance
  • Outpatient, OR, C-Arm, and contrast administration experience

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include performing neuro interventions (stroke, coils, AVMs, diagnostic cerebrals), cardiac procedures (STEMI, PCI, diagnostic), vascular procedures (run-offs, TEVAR, EVAR), and body procedures (CVC, drains, embolizations)
  • Facility-provided scrubs
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
  • Prior UW staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler
  • RTO should be minimal and cannot be accommodated during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
  • Pending state license accepted for consideration
  • COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
