Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP RN for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and rotating on-call coverage.
Details
- 13-week assignment in the Cath Lab unit of an acute care hospital
- Rotates into PACU for Cath Lab patients
- 4x10 day shift schedule, either 6:00 AM-4:30 PM or 7:00 AM-5:30 PM depending on need
- Rotating weekday on-call plus every 3rd weekend on-call required
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Epic EMR used, experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active WI or Compact RN license required (pending license accepted at submission, must be finalized during compliance)
- Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab/EP nursing experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (NIHSS may be pending at submission but must be completed during compliance)
- Preferred charge nurse experience
- Skilled in procedures such as sheath removal/monitoring, 12-lead EKG/ECG, cardioversion, ACT monitoring, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
- Experience administering emergency medications, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and IV vasopressors
- SSN, DOB, and RTO details required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
- Support procedures including PCI, left and right heart catheterization, IABP placement/removal, and pacemaker/defibrillator lead management
- Free parking provided on site
- Badge photo (passport-style) required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
- Two supervisor references required after offer acceptance
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted
- Travel pairs accepted
- Facility cannot accommodate candidates with latex allergies
- Previous travelers may return only after a minimum 1-year separation from the facility
- No RTO restrictions
