Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Acute Care unit, requiring LTAC and community hospital experience with a preference for 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) and Acute Care setting
• Patient ratio of approximately 1:10-12
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:30 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs, with mileage paid
• Epic charting system required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• License required if applicable
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• LTAC and Community Hospital experience required
• 2 years of experience preferred; 1 year may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Recent Epic experience preferred but not required for consideration
• Prior travel experience required
• Experience with orthopedic, neurologic, and cardiopulmonary patient populations
• Proficiency in patient assessment, documentation, and use of therapy equipment such as gait belts, walkers, and lifts

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation for LTAC and acute care patients
• Pass/fail Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test required at orientation with one attempt allowed
• Attendance policy in place; missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the initial application; requests made afterward will not be considered
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies; local candidates within this radius are not accepted
• Previous SRHS staff members are not eligible to return as travelers
• First-time travelers may be considered based on prior travel experience requirements
