Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position requiring NM or compact RN licensure and prior surgical nursing experience.
Details
- Hospital-based General Surgery unit
- Surgical patient population includes Orthopedic, General, Podiatry, GYN/OB (including C-Sections), Pain Management, Urology, and Endoscopy cases
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Mexico or compact required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA only)
- Verbal CPI certification required at hire
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
- BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Applies the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for surgical patients
- Collaborates with physicians, staff, and management to ensure patient needs are met
- Acts as a patient advocate while respecting cultural and religious beliefs
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration
- Previous CHRISTUS employees (non-travel) must be separated for 6 months across the entire CHRISTUS Health System before being eligible for a travel assignment
