Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced PICU RN for a Level I trauma facility requiring GA or compact RN license, PALS certification, and float availability across multiple ICUs.

Details

• Level I trauma facility PICU unit
• 1:2 patient ratios
• Day shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM-7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend required
• Float required between ICUs at two campuses, including NICU (Level IV), TICU, PICU, and CICU
• May float to general care areas if no ICU need exists
• Uses Servo ventilators across all ICUs
• RRTs utilized in each ICU

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• BLS and PALS (AHA only) certifications required
• 2 years of experience required
• Level I trauma facility experience required
• Experience with ICU drips, medications, and vasopressors required
• BSN preferred but not required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must pass medication competency test (second attempt allowed within given timeframe)

Additional Information

• Must be available to work either the Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday rotation based on staffing needs
• Candidates requesting both holidays off will not be considered
• ASAP start required
• Nicotine-free campus; facility tests for cotinine/nicotine and does not allow smoking
• First-time travelers are accepted if resume demonstrates the needed skills
• Compliance hard documents due 7 business days prior to start with no exceptions
