Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for weekend night shifts, requiring 2 years of experience and active BLS/PALS certifications.

Details

• PICU setting within a pediatric hospital system
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Weekend nights required (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon)
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• May float to other ICUs across campuses, including NICU, TICU, and CICU
• May float to general care areas if no ICU needs exist
• Uses Servo ventilators and works alongside RRTs in ICU settings
• Administers typical ICU drips, medications, and pressors
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• BLS and PALS (AHA only) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BSN preferred but not required
• Must pass a medication competency test, with a second attempt allowed if needed
• Must pass nicotine/cotinine testing as facility is a nicotine-free campus

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric ICU patients
• First-time travelers are accepted if their resume demonstrates the needed skills
• Compliance documentation must be finalized within 7 business days prior to start with no exceptions
• Must sign offer within 24 hours and complete required labs and license verification within specified timeframes to avoid rescinded offer
