Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level I trauma PICU position requiring GA or compact RN licensure and float experience across multiple ICU specialties.

Details

• Pediatric ICU setting within a Level I trauma facility
• 1:2 patient ratios
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Float required between ICUs at two campuses, including NICU (Level IV), TICU, PICU, and CICU
• May float to general care areas if no ICU need exists
• Servo ventilators used across all ICUs
• RRTs utilized in each ICU

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required, in hand at time of submission
• BLS and PALS (AHA only) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Level I trauma facility experience required
• Experience in NICU (Level IV), TICU, PICU, and CICU settings required
• Experience with ICU drips, medications, and vasopressors required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• BSN preferred but not required
• Previous travel experience required
• Two professional references from a supervisor level or higher, completed within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• Must be available to work either the Thanksgiving or Christmas holiday rotation based on staffing needs
• Candidates requesting both holidays off will not be considered
• Facility conducts nicotine/cotinine testing as a nicotine-free campus
• Must sign offer within 24 hours, complete GA release within 24 hours of signing, labs within 48 hours, and license verification within 72 hours
• Candidates unable to meet these timeframes may have their offer rescinded
• A medication pass/fail test is administered, with a second chance given if the first attempt is not passed; failure to pass the second test results in cancellation
• Compliance hard documents due no later than 7 business days prior to start with no exceptions
• First-time travelers are accepted if resume reflects required skills
• RTO dates must be submitted at the time of candidate submission
