Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ICU RN for a day shift assignment requiring PALS (AHA) certification and a GA or compact RN license.
Details
- PICU unit within a pediatric hospital setting
- Float requirement to ICUs across two campuses, including NICU, TICU, PICU, and CICU
- May float to general care areas when no ICU needs exist
- Utilizes servo ventilators and RRTs in each ICU
- Manages typical ICU drips, medications, and pressors
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- BLS and PALS (AHA only) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- BSN preferred but not required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill pediatric patients in the ICU setting
- Facility is a nicotine-free campus and tests for cotinine/nicotine use
- Candidates must complete a medication pass/fail test, with a second attempt allowed if needed
- First-time travelers are accepted if their resume demonstrates the required skills
- RTO dates must be submitted at time of consideration
