Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring 2-3 years of ICU experience and an active NH or Compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
- 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, three shifts per week
- 13-week assignment length
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to ED (not just ICU holds), Stepdown, and Med Surg with modified assignment
- May float to Behavioral Health
- May float to Concord Hospital-Laconia or Concord Hospital-Franklin locations
- Uses specialized equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, ICP monitoring, arctic sun or TTM management, Alaris pumps, and rapid infusers
Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration (temporary license not accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- TNCC, PALS, and CCRN certifications preferred
- 2-3 years of ICU experience required, with strong self-starter skills and ability to work independently if closer to 2 years
- CVICU experience strongly preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
- RN Skills Checklist matching ICU specialty required
- Driver's license with address matching demographics required
- 2 recent references required from Manager or Charge RN (no coworkers or peers)
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting requiring independent, fast-paced clinical judgment
- Weekly orientation provided
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
- Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate
- RTO must be submitted for consideration
