Description
American Traveler is hiring a PET/CT & Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an outpatient care setting with no call requirements and first-time travelers welcome.
Details
- Outpatient clinic and hospital setting within Nuclear Medicine
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Optional 10-hour shifts available during holiday weeks
- One evening shift and one Saturday shift per month required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Federal holidays off
- Approximately 33 PET/CT scans performed daily across 2 PET/CT scanners
- Case types include whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, and neuroendocrine imaging with a primarily oncology caseload
- Uses Siemens PET/CT equipment and PACS system
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in PET/CT and General Nuclear Medicine
- BLS certification required
- ARRT (N or R) or NMTCB certification required
- State license required if applicable
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Experience starting and maintaining IVs required
- Inpatient and outpatient experience required
- Experience with myocardial imaging, adenosine infusion, exercise/rest single and multiple protocols, Persantine infusion, and pharmacological stress preferred
- Brain scan and cerebral blood flow imaging experience preferred
- Tumor localization and whole-body imaging experience required
- ICU and EKG experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred

- Scrubs are not provided; grey scrubs preferred
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager, director, or supervisor; a Charge RN may serve as the second reference; coworker references are not accepted
- Former employees eligible for assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this facility
- Requested time off must be submitted with the application and built into the contract
- Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract due to strict compliance timelines
