Description

American Traveler is hiring a PET/CT & Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an outpatient care setting with no call requirements and first-time travelers welcome.

Details

• Outpatient clinic and hospital setting within Nuclear Medicine
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8-hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Optional 10-hour shifts available during holiday weeks
• One evening shift and one Saturday shift per month required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Federal holidays off
• Approximately 33 PET/CT scans performed daily across 2 PET/CT scanners
• Case types include whole-body FDG, brain, cardiac, and neuroendocrine imaging with a primarily oncology caseload
• Uses Siemens PET/CT equipment and PACS system

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in PET/CT and General Nuclear Medicine
• BLS certification required
• ARRT (N or R) or NMTCB certification required
• State license required if applicable
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs required
• Inpatient and outpatient experience required
• Experience with myocardial imaging, adenosine infusion, exercise/rest single and multiple protocols, Persantine infusion, and pharmacological stress preferred
• Brain scan and cerebral blood flow imaging experience preferred
• Tumor localization and whole-body imaging experience required
• ICU and EKG experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

• Former employees eligible for assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this facility
• Requested time off must be submitted with the application and built into the contract
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing the contract due to strict compliance timelines
