Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry/Intermediate Care unit position requiring stroke patient experience and NIHSS certification.

Details

• Work in the Intermediate Care CV Unit of a hospital setting
• Cardiac telemetry patient population including stroke patients
• Schedule consists of 3x12hr Day shifts, 0700-1930
• Holiday rotation required
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• EPIC charting system used

Requirements

• Active RN license (Single State, Compact, or CO license) required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA required, must not expire prior to start date
• 1+ years of experience in cardiac telemetry required
• Experience working with stroke patients required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• TNCC certification preferred
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care including health teaching and counseling
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, and refer patients as needed
• Returning staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
