Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position on a surgical telemetry unit requiring KY or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work on a 26-bed surgical telemetry unit
• Patient population consists of those needing surgery or recently post-surgical
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12s, 7p-7a
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• 0.9 FTE, 36 hours per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for surgical telemetry patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
