Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Endoscopy technologist to circulate and tech advanced GI procedures including ERCP and EUS on a day-shift assignment.
Details
- Work in a 2-suite Endoscopy department within a hospital setting
- Patient ratios of 1:1 for circulator, up to 2 patients in PACU, and 1:1 (up to 1:3 when waiting) during preop questioning
- Staffing includes 1 circulator and 1 tech per room with a designated scope washer for the shift
- Utilizes Olympus scopes, OER Elite washer, and ION robot equipment
- Documentation completed in Meditech Expanse and Provation
- Schedule ranges from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, based on assignment
- Shift hours for this position are 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Floating to the ASC and other surrounding facilities required as needed
- Procedures performed include colonoscopy, EGD, Pill Cam, Bravo, ERCP, EUS, EBUS, ION, and bronchoscopy
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- At least 1 year of recent experience in GI/Endoscopy specialty required
- Ability to perform advanced procedures such as ERCP and EUS required
- Advanced skills in ERCP, EUS, robotic bronchoscopy, and EBUS needed
- Credentials and experience appropriate to scope of practice required
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (Canadian SSNs not accepted)
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Circulate and tech advanced GI/Endoscopy procedures
- Participate in daily huddle prior to start of shift
- Hospital-issued scrubs required as part of dress code
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- No local candidates will be considered
