Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• 25-bed critical access hospital setting
• 18-bed Medical/Surgical unit
• Adult and geriatric patient population with occasional pediatric patients
• Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, hip fracture, AMS, falls, UTI, and abdominal pain
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses Meditech EHR system
• Night shift schedule (7P-7A)
• Rotating weekend requirement
• No call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA certifications required)
• Minimum 1+ years of experience required
• ADN or BSN required
• Experience with IV insertion, foley catheters, pain management, and EMAR required
• Meditech experience preferred
• Must clear Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide quality patient care to Med/Surg patients under the direction of the Director of MedSurg/Women's Services
• Any scrub color accepted; casual wear not permitted
• Friendly, compassionate demeanor and strong teamwork skills expected
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
