Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT-R certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday with fluctuating days based on operational needs
• Call required 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend every 5 weeks
• Candidates will float within the hospital based on census
• Uses Omnicell medication system, EPIC documentation system, and SBAR communication

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• ARRT-R and BLS certifications required
• EPIC experience required
• Community, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II hospital experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred but will consider based on experience
• Skilled in procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, angiography, IVC filter placement/removal, liver biopsy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, nephrostomy, cystoscopy, gastrostomy, and vascular closure systems
• Experience scrubbing, circulating, and maintaining sterile fields for procedures
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias and assist with laser-assisted procedures
• California license required in hand at time of consideration, if applicable
• 1 professional reference required within 2 years

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures including embolization, angiography, stent placements, and biopsies
• Responsible for equipment setup and acting as room circulator or scrub technologist maintaining sterile fields
• Scrubs provided
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience
• Previous permanent staff members are not eligible for consideration
• RTO must be submitted in advance and cannot be added after initial consideration
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
