Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Charge role requiring prior charge nursing and travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in a Medical Surgical Unit caring for Med/Surg and Med-Tele patients
• 12-hour night shifts (7P-7A), 36 hours per week
• Serve as Charge RN for the majority of shifts
• EMR: Cerner; medication dispensing via Pyxis
• Floating may be required depending on unit needs

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or Maine)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Med/Surg or related specialty
• Prior Charge RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Critical access hospital background preferred

Additional Information

• Provide leadership and oversight as Charge RN for most shifts
• Orientation period of 1-2 shifts
• Overtime opportunities may be available but not guaranteed each week
• RTO requests subject to manager approval
• Any scrub color permitted
• Free on-site parking provided
• Candidates must reside 100+ miles south or southwest of the facility to be eligible
• Candidates who previously worked in a permanent capacity at any hospital within the same health system are not eligible
• First-time travelers may be considered based on interview
• Flu vaccination required for clearance, with medical exemptions only accepted
