Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring a NE or compact RN license and prior post-op recovery experience.

Details

• Med/Surg unit within an acute care, Level 1 trauma hospital
• Handles Med/Surg and post-OR recovery patients, including oncology overflow cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Uses nasal cannula respiratory equipment
• EPIC EMR used
• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Floating required as needed within scope

Requirements

• Active NE or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of charge experience required if serving in that capacity
• Driver's license required for submission and residency verification
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg and post-op recovery patients
• Must pass a pass/fail, open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% to continue the assignment
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to remove them will result in contract termination
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Candidates may not have been employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year
