Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg RN for a night shift position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring a NE or compact RN license and prior post-op recovery experience.
Details
- Med/Surg unit within an acute care, Level 1 trauma hospital
- Handles Med/Surg and post-OR recovery patients, including oncology overflow cases
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Uses nasal cannula respiratory equipment
- EPIC EMR used
- 12-hour night shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Floating required as needed within scope
Requirements
- Active NE or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Minimum 1 year of charge experience required if serving in that capacity
- Driver's license required for submission and residency verification
- Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg and post-op recovery patients
- Must pass a pass/fail, open-book skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% to continue the assignment
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to remove them will result in contract termination
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates may not have been employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year
