Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position on night shift, requiring high-risk and high-volume delivery center experience.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
- High-risk and high-acuity obstetric patient population
- Experience at a high-volume delivery center (200-300 deliveries/month) required within the past year
- Uses EPIC EMR, with EPIC STORK experience preferred
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours/week
- Every third weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Must be comfortable floating to Post-Partum 1-2 shifts per week
Requirements
- Active IA RN license or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), AWHONN for fetal monitoring, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Circulating experience required
- High-risk experience required
- High-acuity experience required
- Experience at a high-volume delivery center (200-300 deliveries/month) within the past year required
- Scrub experience preferred
- Multiple completed travel contracts preferred
- Driver's license required for consideration
- Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
Additional Information
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Holiday coverage required, including 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
- Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods
- Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
- First-time travelers may be considered
