Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a NICU/Adult travel position requiring NICU experience and an active RRT license.
Details
- Provide respiratory care in a NICU and adult unit setting
- Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-week travel contract assignment
- Every other weekend rotation required
- No on-call requirements
- Utilizes Meditech documentation system
- Cares for patients across all age ranges
Requirements
- RRT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
- NICU, ICU, and ED experience required
- Must be able to draw ABGs
- Current BLS certification required
- NRP certification required for staff caring for neonates
- Experience with Servo I ventilator and I-Stat preferred
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform ABGs, assist with intubations, administer nebulizer treatments, Metaneb, IPPB, and CPT
- Strong customer service skills required when interacting with patients and families
- Black scrubs required and must be purchased by the candidate
- Grooming standards apply including no artificial nails, neatly trimmed facial hair, and hair pulled back when working in the lab
- No visible piercings other than ears permitted
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
- One professional reference required for consideration
