Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and current ARRT (MR) certification.
Details
- Work in an acute care hospital MRI department with two scanners, including one mobile unit
- Adult patient population with studies including cardiac MRI, MRA of various anatomy, and MRCP (no breast MRI imaging)
- Average of 10-16 scans per scanner per day
- Uses GE equipment, with the mobile unit operating on Siemens technology
- Charting completed in Cerner, with PACS imaging managed through MERGE (transitioning to Epic in late October)
- Monday-Friday shifts of either 5x8s or 4x10s between 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM
- On-call required one week at a time every third week, including every third weekend and holidays
- No floating to other departments required
- Day shift supported by a radiology supervisor, alternating lead tech, and in-house radiologist
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years MRI Technologist experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ARRT (MR) certification required
- Active state or compact license required, if applicable
- Ability to start IVs required
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Two professional references required, one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform MRI and MRA imaging across various anatomical regions, including cardiac MRI and MRCP studies
- Royal blue scrubs required, with hospital scrubs available if needed
- 10 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
- Candidates who were directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity, within the past year will not be considered; those employed PRN through outside staffing firms may be considered
