Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 1+ years experience in cardiac cath lab and angio procedures with scrub competency.
Details
- Acute care, Level I Trauma teaching hospital setting in the Cardiac Cath Lab unit
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call requirement of about one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks
- Float requirement within site and across the health system as needed
- Uses Epic EMR and Philips equipment
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology work settings
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and ARRT-R certifications required
- Oregon state license (OBMI) required if applicable
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations (adult), left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and scrub procedures
- Experience with equipment setup, prepping access site, sterile technique, and PACS system
- One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required, preferably within the last year
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include equipment setup, access site prep, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbing in
- Scrubs are provided for this unit
- Free parking available in any unrestricted space
- Accepts local candidates on a case-by-case basis, though standard policy restricts candidates residing within 50 miles of any facility in the system
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with none allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- Former staff must be separated from the facility/system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on candidate strength
- COVID vaccination documentation required with no exemptions accepted
