Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN with critical care experience for a night shift community hospital assignment requiring an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• ICU setting within a community hospital
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) work required
• Float required within skillset as needed, including to two additional campuses
• On-call required as needed, with a 1-hour return-to-facility expectation if called in

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required; 2 years preferred
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Charting system experience required (any EMR); Epic experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, arterial and central line care
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Respiratory/thoracic skills including BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE use

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to ICU patients, including hemodynamic monitoring and management of complex respiratory and cardiac cases
• Facility does not permit RTO during major holidays and requires missed shifts to be made up
• If scheduled to work a weekend during approved RTO, traveler must arrange their own coverage
• Facility is smoke-free across all campuses
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before being eligible for reassignment
