Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a day-shift assignment requiring ARRT(R)/NMTCB certification and Epic experience.

Details

  • Nuclear Medicine department within a Radiology/Cardiology setting
  • Day shift, 5x8 hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
  • Adult patient population
  • Work settings include clinic, nuclear cardiology, and portable/bedside procedures
  • Performs SPECT imaging including bone, brain, liver, renal, and thyroid studies
  • Performs bone scans (3 phase, limited, whole body)
  • Performs cardiac studies including myocardial perfusion, adenosine and Persantine infusion, and exercise/rest stress testing
  • Performs renal studies including flow/function, renal/perfusion, and captopril renal scans
  • Performs lung scans including DTPA aerosol, perfusion, and ventilation/perfusion studies
  • Performs procedures such as gastric emptying, HIDA scan, and MUGA scan
  • Performs liver/spleen imaging including liver flow, liver imaging, and hemangioma scans
  • Uses GE and Siemens equipment
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • ARRT(R) and NMTCB certification required, license required if applicable
  • BLS certification required
  • CNMT certification preferred
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • Skilled in drawing venous blood and starting/maintaining IVs
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and safe storing, handling, and disposal of radioactive materials
  • Epic charting experience required
  • State-issued ID required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Performs a wide range of nuclear medicine imaging and diagnostic procedures across cardiac, renal, pulmonary, hepatic, and skeletal systems
  • Completes required training modules prior to start, with any remaining modules finished during orientation and annually thereafter
  • Military-equivalent certifications accepted; AHA certification preferred over ARC
  • Accepts local candidates within 90 miles at a lower rate
  • Limited RTO requests permitted, with additional restrictions during the November-January holiday season
