Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and a GA or compact RN license.
Details
- Med/Surg Float unit including ER Hold coverage
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
- 18-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to medical-surgical patients including overflow from the ER
- Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to determine unit fit before being sent for manager review
- Full compliance required to meet start date, otherwise a two-week delay may occur due to biweekly orientation scheduling
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
- Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
- No special scheduling requests or alternate shift accommodations permitted
- Travel pairs cannot be scheduled on the same shift and unit
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Returning employees/travelers must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before returning as a traveler
