Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of experience and a GA or compact RN license.

Details

• Med/Surg Float unit including ER Hold coverage
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• 18-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to medical-surgical patients including overflow from the ER
• Candidates will undergo a clinical screening to determine unit fit before being sent for manager review
• Full compliance required to meet start date, otherwise a two-week delay may occur due to biweekly orientation scheduling
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)
• No special scheduling requests or alternate shift accommodations permitted
• Travel pairs cannot be scheduled on the same shift and unit
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Returning employees/travelers must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before returning as a traveler
