Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms in a dedicated Breast Center setting requiring at least 1 year of experience.

Details

• Work within a dedicated Breast Center at a Level III Trauma, Acute Care Hospital
• Daily caseload of 15-20 mammograms
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend requirement (volunteer basis only if events are scheduled)
• No on-call requirement
• Technologist will remain within the Breast Center and will not float to other units

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT (M) certification required
• SCRQSA (M) certification required
• South Carolina state license required if applicable, and must be in hand prior to start (pending licenses not accepted)
• Experience with screening and diagnostic mammograms required
• Experience with Hologic and Siemens equipment preferred
• Stereotactic biopsy, breast ultrasound, and ultrasound biopsy experience preferred but not required
• Must provide own radiation badge, as facility does not supply one to travelers

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, with opportunities for stereotactic biopsies
• Epic charting preferred
• Teal top and black bottom scrub color required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Block scheduling accommodations may be requested prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced bill rate
• 60-mile radius rule applies, with non-local candidates prioritized
• Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for facility approval
• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November, peak August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
