Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Days shift 13-week assignment requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg experience and a MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit at a Level 3 trauma facility
• 39-bed unit including 24 Med/Surg-tele beds
• Patient population includes non-acute cardiac cases such as pacemakers, monitoring, and potassium level management
• Basic telemetry experience beneficial but not required
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Uses MEDITECH charting system and McKesson medication system
• Schedule consists of 3x12-hour shifts, 7a-7p, with some weekends required
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• May float first to other Med/Surg units within scope of practice

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• MEDITECH charting experience highly preferred
• BSN not required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg unit with a mix of general and telemetry patients
• Royal blue scrubs required, not provided by facility
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per 4 weeks worked
• Housing may be limited due to peak tourism season through Labor Day
