Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a night shift travel contract requiring STEMI and stroke facility experience along with EPIC proficiency.
Details
- Emergency Department caring for combined adult and pediatric patients
- Non-trauma ED at a STEMI and Stroke certified facility
- Special care populations include cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health
- Hospital specialties include cath lab, women's health, and stroke care
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift, 3x12s, 7p-7:30a with occasional 3p-3a shifts as needed
- Up to every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed
- No call requirements
- Floating to any Cone Health campus as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required, must be in hand at time of consideration
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
- STARR or behavioral population certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- STEMI and stroke facility experience required
- Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- Skills in respiratory management, IV therapy, medication administration, neurological care, cardiac monitoring, and orthopedic trauma preferred
- Current driver's license required to verify address
Additional Information
- Care for shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
- Provide pediatric emergency care including head injuries and near drowning
- Perform triage and manage isolation precautions/PPE
- Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias including EKG testing
- All RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam with up to two attempts allowed
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- No local candidates permitted within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- RTO must be submitted with the initial application; no post-submission RTO accepted
- Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
- No open background check cases permitted
