Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a day-shift assignment requiring a CA RN license and at least 1 year of OR experience.

Details

• Operating Room unit position within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Performs procedures including general surgery, pediatric general surgery, ENT, pediatric ENT, orthopedic, and thoracic cases
• Utilizes electrosurgical units and supports endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and EGD
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required, compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, emergency management, code response, and fire safety required
• Experience with total joint replacement and VATS procedures preferred
• PACU/Recovery experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsible for direct patient care in surgical procedures across general, pediatric, ENT, orthopedic, and thoracic specialties
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be accepted at a lower bill rate
• Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
• Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• First-time travelers are not required for this role but travel experience is not mandated
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
