Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring WA State or Compact RN licensure and NRP/FHM certification.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• 3x12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Day/evening shift from 0645-1845
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must float as a sitter and may float in rotation

Requirements

• Active WA State or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications required
• Must adhere to Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice

• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit-specific standards
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
• Perform holistic ongoing assessments and evaluate discharge planning needs
• Document care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Educate patients and families on relevant health information
• Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and participate in performance improvement processes
• Maintain a clean and safe environment per hospital and unit policies
