Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Renal night shift position requiring AL or compact RN license and 2 years of experience.
Details
- Renal unit is a 36-bed unit caring for patients with acute or chronic kidney disease, including those requiring renal replacement therapy
- Nurses specialize in posthemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis care
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
- 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
- Uses Meditech EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (Alabama State or Compact) required, no temporary licenses accepted
- Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Associate degree in nursing required
- 2 years of RN experience required; will consider 18 months if working at the highest level of professional license
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry specialty required
- No history of license issues, past or current

- Collaborate closely with community nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to deliver comprehensive renal patient care
- Support patients through every stage of their care journey, from diagnosis through treatment
- Solid navy scrubs required
