Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/OB unit requiring an active OH or Compact RN license and prior travel assignment experience.

Details

• Labor & Delivery/OB unit within a hospital setting
• Varied 12-hour shifts (3P-3A and 3A-3P), with day or night only schedules also considered
• Every 3rd weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active OH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Current S.T.A.B.L.E. certification
• Current Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification
• 2+ years of OB experience required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Ability to function as a 1st assist and scrub for OB cases highly preferred
• Skills checklist pertinent to OB/GYN specialty, current within 1 year, required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria
• Assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries
• Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes
• Local candidates within a 45-mile radius are considered local travelers and receive a reduced travel rate
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
