Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift travel contract requiring 2+ years of Med/Surg and/or Oncology experience and an active IA or compact RN license.
Details
- Med/Surg-Oncology unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 36 hrs/week
- Every third weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- May float within the same discipline across local campuses
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active IA state RN license or compact license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS may be obtained during onboarding)
- 2+ years of Med/Surg and/or Oncology nursing experience required
- Experience administering Heparin, PCA, and epidural drips required
- Chemotherapy certification and administration experience preferred
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- High acuity care experience preferred
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year required for consideration
- One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team for Med/Surg-Oncology patients
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
- Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
- Limited to 1 day off request during peak holiday blackout periods
- Candidates employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for submission
- First-time travelers may be considered
