Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 12-hour night shift float pool position requiring advanced tele experience and an active NH or compact RN license.

Details

• Assignment in the Nursing Float Pool at a hospital setting
• MedSurg/Telemetry patient population
• 12-hour night shift schedule, 7p-7a, 3 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• May be required to float within the facility

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an acute care specialty setting
• Advanced telemetry experience required
• Experience with Cardizem and Insulin drips (insulin for hyperglycemia, not DKA) and Phenobarbital on tele
• Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
• NURSYS report with verification of all active RN licenses required

Additional Information

• Provide MedSurg/Telemetry nursing care within a float pool structure
• Local candidates accepted at the local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Weekly orientation provided
• Previous permanent staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
• First-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
