Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with STEMI call responsibilities requiring proximity to the facility.
Details
- Cath Lab unit performing left and right diagnostic and interventional heart caths, pacemaker and AICD implants, loop recorders, Impellas, balloon pumps, TEEs, cardioversions, and tilt table testing
- Cares for STEMI patients with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Uses IV pumps, groin and radial sheaths, Impellas, balloon pumps, IVUS, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, Zoll monitors, and hemodynamic systems
- Utilizes Epic for charting
- Schedule is 8a-4:30p Monday-Friday, 3x12s totaling 36 hours per week
- STEMI call required minimum one day per week and every 4th weekend
- Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility for call coverage
Requirements
- Active RN license (IN or Compact)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience
- Epic charting experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
- Skilled in Impella operation, balloon pump operation, TEE, cardioversion, tilt table testing, and peripheral IV access
Additional Information
- Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans
- Provides patient and family education related to STEMI care, treatment, and discharge planning
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff
- Mentors and precepts staff while participating in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives
- Must reside within a 30-minute radius of the facility to support STEMI call requirements
