Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring CRRT and/or IABP experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• 20-bed medical ICU setting with 2:1 patient ratios
• Cares for patients experiencing cardiac arrest, sepsis, mechanical ventilation, stroke, and surgery
• Supports continuous dialysis and invasive bedside procedures
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• CRRT and/or IABP experience required
• Strong computer systems knowledge or ability to be trained
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with care team members

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in accordance with scope of practice and hospital policies
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including discharge teaching and planning with case management
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and individualized treatment planning
• Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Candidates residing within a 75-mile radius accepted at a lower pay rate
• First-time travelers may be considered
