Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Supervisor/Manager to lead multi-campus MRI operations, requiring 8 years of experience and supervisory background with ARRT and BLS certifications.
Details
- Multi-campus MRI program spanning five MRI scanners across four locations with approximately 30 FTEs
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Floating required across multiple campuses, with daily shuttle service provided for transport
- Department coverage extends from 5:30 AM through midnight across multiple shifts
- GE HealthCare MRI platforms used across multiple software versions
- Supports advanced imaging services including neuro, cardiac, body, musculoskeletal, breast, and pelvic MRI, MRI-guided breast biopsy, prostate MRI/ablation, and interventional MRI procedures
Requirements
- Active CA RN license not required for this role; ARRT (R) or ARMRIT and ARRT (MR) certification required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum 8 years of MRI experience required
- Supervisor or charge experience required
- Venipuncture skills required
- Uploaded certifications with valid expiration dates required for consideration
- 2 professional references obtained within the last year required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provides operational leadership for a multi-site MRI service while maintaining ability to perform clinical MRI exams during low staffing, call-offs, or vacations
- Responsible for staffing coordination, scheduling, and operational planning across campuses
- Provides clinical scanning coverage during staffing shortages and manages patient flow and scanner utilization
- Oversees MRI safety and regulatory compliance
- Handles employee coaching, onboarding, and performance management
- Collaborates with radiologists, nursing, anesthesia, and operational leadership
- Leads workflow improvement initiatives and monitors quality metrics, patient experience, and departmental performance
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage applies to New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
- 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
