Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring Epic experience and a passing telemetry exam score.
Details
- Med/Surg Tele unit within a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
- Floating required as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in Med/Surg Tele specialty required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a telemetry exam prior to starting, including lethal rhythm identification and heart block criteria
- Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line blood draws, and PICC line management
- Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen administration, and suctioning
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and rapid response protocols
- Experience with wound care, isolation precautions, and PPE use
- Experience with GI care including feeding tubes and colostomy/ileostomy management
- Experience with medication administration including heparin, insulin, and PCA
Additional Information
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- References are not required for consideration
- Traveler experience not required, first-time travelers may be considered
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Parking permit required if parking onsite, alternative transportation options available
