Description

American Traveler is looking for a Physical Therapist for an adult outpatient clinic setting, requiring 1+ year of adult outpatient rehab experience and an active state license (license required if applicable).

• Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
• Works with adult outpatient population with varying diagnoses and functional needs
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
• 13-week assignment with 40 guaranteed hours

Requirements

• Active state PT license required at time of submission (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification required
• Valid driver's license required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in adult outpatient rehab required
• Entry-level qualifying master's or doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program required, or bachelor's/master's degree from an APTA-approved program with 2 years of proven work and continuing education experience
• Adheres to APTA regulatory and practice standards

Additional Information

• Provides PT evaluations and treatments to optimize patient functional outcomes
• Oversees and directs work of Physical Therapist Assistants and other designated staff
• Develops and implements individualized treatment plans and home exercise programs
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team on patient care and discharge planning
• Assists in acquisition and fitting of durable medical equipment for patients
• Documents patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress according to facility policies
• Maintains cleanliness and stock of clinical space and equipment
• Candidates must live at least 100+ miles from the facility to be eligible
• Facility does not provide housing or transportation for travelers
• Start date will be no less than 6 weeks after fingerprint processing is completed
