Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring ARRT MR certification and Epic charting experience.
Details
- MRI Tech unit within a Short Term Acute Care/Level II Trauma teaching hospital
- Day shift, Monday through Friday, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- 1:1 patient ratio
- On-call required one night per week from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM
- No weekend shifts required
- Uses Siemens Magnetom Vida 3T and 2 GE Signa HDi 1.5T MRI equipment
- Charting completed in Epic
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
- ARRT MR certification and BLS required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Compact license must be in hand at time of submission, if applicable
- Community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Skills in abdomen/pelvis imaging, MRA, MRV, and MRCP
- Experience with GE, Siemens, and PACS equipment
- Ability to prepare and administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs
Additional Information
- Perform MRI imaging across abdominal, pelvic, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular studies
- May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Scrubs provided in sterile units such as OR/ICU/ER/COVID; any color accepted elsewhere
- Free parking available
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
- Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required prior to starting
