Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and prior Cath Lab or IR experience at a teaching hospital.

Details

  • Cath Lab unit setting performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts and variable start times
  • Performs diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, left and right heart catheterizations, and pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
  • Administers and monitors procedural sedation and manages dysrhythmias
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Float requirement to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius when qualified

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required at time of submission
  • BSN required
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab or IR experience required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of combined experience in PACU, ICU, CCU, and/or Cath Lab required
  • Minimum 5 years of clinic nursing experience required
  • Knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization and EP procedures, equipment, and sterile technique required
  • Teaching hospital experience required and must be noted in employment history
  • Prior travel nursing experience within the last 12 months required
  • Proof of COVID vaccination and booster required, or proof of scheduled booster appointment prior to start date
  • Two professional references from most recent employer required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provides nursing care for adult patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and EP procedures
  • Prior teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Prior employment history with any University of California medical facility or acquired facility must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
  • All RTO must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager at time of offer
  • No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment
  • No additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
